Privacy Policy

Who we are
Stock Widgets (“we”, “us”) is the Android app and website at stockwidgets.app that puts stock, ETF, and index widgets on your home screen. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the product, we don’t sell your data, and you can delete everything from inside the app.
What we collect
- Account — your email address, used to sign in with one-time codes and to identify your subscription.
- Watchlists & preferences — ticker symbols and widget settings. Stored on your device for everyone; synced to our servers only for paid plans with cloud sync.
- Devices — a device identifier, model, app version, and a push token so alerts and sync can reach your phone.
- Brokerage data (optional, subscribers only) — if you link a brokerage through SnapTrade, we receive read-only holdings, balances, and positions. We never receive your brokerage password and we can never place trades.
- Billing — subscriptions are processed by Google Play or Stripe. We store subscription status and plan; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Diagnostics — standard server logs (IP, request path, timestamps) retained briefly for security and debugging.
How we use it
To operate widgets, sync, and alerts; to verify subscriptions and grant paid features; to send sign-in codes and service emails; and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data, we do not run third-party advertising, and we do not use your data for cross-site tracking.
AI features
If you subscribe to the AI plan, your watchlists, holdings, and related market news are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your briefs, attribution, and alert triage. This processing happens via API under terms that do not permit training on your data. AI output is generated automatically and can be wrong — it is information, not financial advice.
Who we share with
Only service providers that run the product: Cloudflare (hosting, storage), SnapTrade (brokerage connections you initiate), Stripe and Google Play (billing), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI plan processing), and market-data providers (ticker quotes; your identity is not shared with them). Each receives only what it needs. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account (in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account) immediately removes your user record, watchlists, devices, entitlement links, and brokerage connections from our databases. Billing and webhook records may be retained where required for accounting and fraud prevention. Server logs expire automatically.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure encrypted at rest. Brokerage access is read-only by design and scoped through SnapTrade. Secrets and tokens are stored separately from application data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Deletion is self-serve in the app; for anything else email support@stockwidgets.app. Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK GDPR, California CPRA) you may have additional statutory rights, which we honor.
Children
Stock Widgets is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We’ll post any changes here and update the effective date; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
